my

approach.

May you study the pink of yourself.
   Know yourself riverine and coast.
May you taste the fresh and the saltwater of yourself
and know what only you can know.
  May you live in the mouth of the river,
meeting place of the tides,
may all blessings flow through you.

My clinical practice is framed by trauma healing & justice. I believe in the importance of all kinds of relationship - with self & beloveds, the earth & ancestors, and with community - and believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for an effective and generative experience in therapy. My life & work are informed & guided by circle-keeping & restorative justice; the principles & core assumptions of which are pillars of my practice. My work is embodied and rooted in dignity & liberation.

I am relational & direct, collaborative & holistic in my approach. I understand that society, systems, power & culture - in addition to family, community & self - are essential & inseparable ingredients when exploring our histories, present experiences, narratives & beliefs.

I draw from Psychodynamic theory, Narrative therapy, Somatic therapies & other strength-based modalities. I am client-centered. I encourage my clients’ natural resilience & support integration & sustainability — I believe that we all inherently have what we need. Through the intentional creation of a safe, dignifying, empathetic & courageous environment, clients explore changing circumstances, emotional tumult, or quest for meaning; ultimately awakening and unravelling the resiliency that can lead to understanding, satisfaction, healing & transformation.

My longing is for our personal & collective liberation. It is a privilege to bear witness to our often complex & always profound evolution.

Let’s get free.

I work with grief & loss; trauma & complex PTSD; trust issues; life transitions;
symptoms of depression, stress & anxiety; addiction & recovery; parenting & family conflict.
Much of my client work centers themes of
identity & belonging; establishing, setting, and maintaining boundaries;
embodiment & inter-generational patterns.

I work with individuals, couples & all kinds of relationships.
